Water aerobics is a form of exercise that involves performing movements in the pool, such as jogging, twisting, lunging and performing jumping jacks. The warm water provides a supportive, cushioning medium, but may feel quite different than pounding the pavement in your favorite running shoes. It can encompass all of the components of fitness: cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility. The swimming pool at Waterfall is a fun place to be while getting a great workout. Plan to join your fellow members beginning April through October for Water Aerobics offered complimentary to members two days per week.
Escape the stress of the everyday world and focus on a greater balance in your life. The Waterfall Spa offers various therapeutic packages from deep tissue massages to relaxation massages. You deserve to be pampered or plan a fun day in the Spa with friends for any special occasion. The catering of food and drinks from The Lodge will complete the experience.
Fitness & Yoga
Get a vigorous workout in our 24-hour Fitness Center with state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment. Personal training is also available on request. If you prefer the social environment of group classes, join your friends in one of our many professionally instructed classes including yoga and aqua fitness.
Yoga does more than burn calories and tone muscles. It’s a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation. Yoga helps increase your metabolism, lower inflammation and change the way your body reacts to stress and not just during your Yoga session, but potentially throughout the rest of your day. Yoga is offered complimentary to our members two days a week from May through September. Whichever format your workout takes, make plans to finish the rotation with a relaxing session in the whirlpool, sauna or steam room.
Tennis & More
Rain or shine, Waterfall Club has options for you. Take your pick – our indoor and outdoor tennis courts keep you active year-round. Grab a partner and join in some friendly competition. You will be scoring more aces in no time.
If tennis is not your game, play a friendly game of indoor basketball, or shoot hoops on our outdoor goal. Like we said, we have options for you!
The Georgia and North Carolina mountains are home to some of the most spectacular private club golf courses in the country. Waterfall is one of these breathtaking and incredibly memorable golf experiences, acclaimed by golfers to be one of those at the top of the golf mountain.
Our course was designed by Scott Pool, a protégé of the legendary Pete Dye, so you can imagine how good it must be. The panoramic views across the course and of Lake Burton will distract you from the challenging and masterfully designed holes in front of you. Waterfall’s golf course is not only known for eye appeal, but for its bentgrass fairways and putting surfaces which are green year-round, adding an appealing aesthetic experience and as well as for superb playing conditions.
