Builders-Luncheon-4.2.16-webThe surest sign of spring at Waterfall Club is when we wipe off all of the pollen from our outdoor tables and chairs and then come back out and do it again in one hour! The strong demand for dining services this early has has been a great sign of great things to come. This past Saturday Waterfall Club partnered with the POA to a luncheon a Builders Luncheon with invitees of area contractors and potential home builders to form relationships to fuel the local community by building at Waterfall.  Attendance was fantastic and there was much interest in “going vertical” as well as a lot of interest in Chef Mark’s assortment of specialty wraps, cold salads and sweet treats.

Rabun-Gap-Prom-Lodge-2016-webImmediately after the builders event flowers delivered, a DJ was setup with lights, and a photo booth brought into The Lodge.  All this in preparation to host almost 200 students and faculty for the annual Rabun Gap Nacoochee School Senior Prom.  We are pleased to report that these students were very respectful, polite, and a pleasure to work with throughout the evening.

Broiled-Lobster-4.3.16-webThe following day marked the first Sunday dinner service at the Lodge of 2016.  Chefs Feature of Broiled Main Lobster Tail topped with Lump Crabmeat was a member hit. A rehearsal dinner on a Friday in the dining room with members utilizing the Lounge and Burton Porch, an April wedding with an alternate dinner for members, wedding brunches…the F&B Team is definitely busy with all of the activity! Masters Week always spikes the interest of golf in Georgians, so our Sandtrap Grille operations will kick-off Friday to Sunday from 11p.m. to 3:00p.m. Chef Mark will have “Grab and Go” options that are friendly for golfers, as well as a featured item unique to the golf course to keep you fueled up while making your way through your round of golf.

We are looking forward to that alternate dinner on April 16 planned at the now named “19th Hole” (formerly Waterfall Grill). Rick Caudle, who started wine & spirits business in 1977 while attending the University of Georgia, will be our gracious host and present some spectacular white and red wines from the Bordeaux region of France.  Space will be limited so if you’re interested in coming I strongly urge you to make a reservations for this interesting and fun event.
