Charity Golf Classic
The stunning mountain golf course at Waterfall Club is the backdrop for a scramble golf tournament that tees off at 8:30am. Four-player teams will power-up with a Grab-and-Go Breakfast of biscuits, juice and coffee before hitting the course, where players compete in net and gross score categories. Entrants also enjoy a tee gift, plus on-course competitions for long drives and closest to the pin. Lunch at The Lodge overlooking Lake Burton follows golf and is included in the entry. The entry fee for a foursome is $500, with a portion of the fee being tax deductible. A wide variety of sponsorship opportunities are available to individuals or companies for between $100 and $5,000.
While the golfers are out on the links, spring and summer’s newest styles from Doncaster will be showcased at the Waterfall Club Lodge during a fashion show hosted by Tanner Women’s Apparel & Accessories of downtown Clayton. A $40 pre-purchased ticket includes entry to the show, hors d’oeuvres crafted by Waterfall Club Chef Mark Wilkins and a sumptuous lunch to follow. The fashion show kicks off at 11:30am on Friday, May 20.
According to FAITH President Debbie Russell, “FAITH is excited to partner with Waterfall Club for the third year. This is a fun filled day where friends come together to raise much needed funds for victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual assault. We appreciate the support Waterfall gives us every year to help with our mission to end domestic violence.”
Founded in 1993, the mission of FAITH is to stop abuse in Rabun, Stephens and Habersham counties in north Georgia. FAITH has provided free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. The organization’s prevention, crisis intervention, shelter and therapeutic services offers every victim an opportunity to heal and begin a life free of violence.
“The entire Waterfall Club family is gratified to support such a vital and profound community service as FAITH and Power House for Kids,” says Waterfall’s general manager, Jason LeBlanc. “Their dedicated team works tirelessly to safeguard the vulnerable and shine a light on a crucial issue in north Georgia.”
