The first full week of the 2016 season is in the books! The weather could not have been any more perfect for members’ activity, but also has helped move the construction process along on our outdoor tennis court and our new kitchen to service The Overlook. The walk-way that attaches the new kitchen to The Overlook is almost complete and will be instrumental in allowing the service staff to have a short, dedicated path to deliver the casual fare from Chef Mark WIlkins. The Overlook is scheduled to open seasonally the first of May.
The construction company that will install the
actual tennis court is scheduled to be on property next week to inspect the grading, which is completed. We anticipate they will begin the construction of the actual court, lighting, fencing, and screening very soon.
The Lodge is now open for lunch Thursday to Sunday Brunch. Is there a better place to go and grab a burger or a salad and enjoy the view? One of my early favorites from Chef Mark is the Chicken Pesto Salad with Quinoa, Farro and Arugula served with Pesto Yogurt Dressing. Yum!
You can see the Ladies’ Canasta Group is already right at home in their new location now that lunch is served at The Lodge. They tell me the Cream of Asparagus soup was delish, as well. Lunch, Canasta, Camaraderie…all with a view!
It is such an exciting time for Waterfall Club and one of my favorite times of the year as we welcome back our members. There is no better reward for a long winter than seeing your smiling faces! I do hope you all are taking advantage of all your club has to offer. If there is anything that I can do to help you utilize your membership more please do not hesitate to let me know!
